Day 6. Ione Washington to Sandpoint Idaho

Another great day at work.  88.9 miles and 2,270 feet climbed biked along beautiful rivers and mostly quiet roads to outside of Sandpoint, Idaho.  The only tough part was the four miles on Idaho 95 into Sandpoint - it was packed with cars, trucks, megaloads, whatever going 70+ telling us "Get your damn sleazy granola carrying two wheel idiot vehicles off my god-given republican road you creepy unclean smelly self-propelled Democrats!"  The second picture says it all.  The first picture shows some of the local businesses that seem to do well here.  Safety first! The phone was disconnected.  The third picture is us crossing the border - no guards - into Idaho.  No sign for Washington.  The last picture is what the country looks like all the way from Ione to Sandpoint.  Very pretty, rolling hills, and overall  nice folks - especially Alex, the fire chief in Le Clere.  Tomorrow we decided to go to Clark Fork and stay at an out of the way ranch/hotel.  More to follow.  We are camping at a state park just south of Sandpoint.  PCC
