Day 22. Medora, North Dakota to Glen Ullin, North Dakota.

Day 22.  87.5 miles, 1750 feet, and less wind - yes!  Oh well, we had a northern crosswind now and the weather is changing.  Rain clothes are coming out soon I suspect.  Well, on we go. Tonight we are staying at a B&B in Glen Ulllin, ND
First, I don't' understand how city promoters get these things, but here is the sign for the Little Missouri River in Medora, ND

So it says it is a "scenic" river, but then look at the actual river!  Oh well, maybe it looks good at night.
On the way up the hill to the expressway out of Medora, we did pass by some beautiful views.  This looks good now and I can only imagine what it was like before the roads, power lines and cell towers.
The next place we visited and had lunch was Dickinson, ND.  While passing through I saw this fantastic taxi!  I wish I needed a ride!!  What a sweetie.
Further along we passed several former ranches and homes.  This one is especially interesting.  Again, I bet there are lots of stories there.  Now, it stands on the open prairie slowly falling down.
Living in the mountains and near them I am always impressed by the vastness of the prairie.  Time after time one can just look as far out as possible and suspect you see the curve of the earth.  Pretty and pretty wide open spaces.
Signs!  We are staying in Glen Ullin now, and the proprietor of the B&B must not have thought we fell into any of these groups.  That is a good thing as it was a long ride to the next place to stay!  Still, I am glad they don't allow any of these groups - once they let us stay!  I am sure these signs keep these scoundrels out.
Tomorrow it looks like we have a short day to Bismark, ND.  The big city!!  More to come.
