Day 30 A short ride and tomorrow is a rest day - yea!! Hinkley, Minnesota to Spooner, Wisconsin.

Day 30.  It seems like we left a year ago.  Today was a short ride of only 54.8 miles and only 991 feet of climb.  We have ended up at Gayle's family's place in Spooner, Wisconsin and will be taking a rest day, which we certainly need.  So, a relatively short day, good weather, and somewhat helpful wind.
Again, the roads are fairly flat, well, at least the larger ones.  On we roll, and here is another view.
We also crossed from Minnesota into Wisconsin today!  Here are the pictures from Minnesota, a picture of the St. Croix river, and the welcome into Wisconsin with the river in between.
Next, we have our usual set of interesting signs.  Here are some more of these.  The first one is interesting.  I would have stopped, but they were closed on Sunday - out hunting.
Next, this one said there was "lots" for sale - lots of what?  Or, were they selling housing lots.  Not clear here either.  No one home.
This next picture was of a bygone era.  This place is now closed, but as is often the case one wonders about the stories told there.
The final views are of a beaver hut in a lake we went by.  We could not see the beaver, but his/her housing looks solid.
The great thing is that tomorrow is a day off the bike!  It will be wonderful to let the seat rest a bit.  Actually, I can finally get a haircut - I hope!
