Day 24. Bismark, North Dakota to Napoleon, North Dakota

Day 24.  72.6 miles and 1,680 feet of climb to Napoleon, North Dakota.  It was a bit cool and rainy in the morning, with low clouds on the way, but we made it just fine.  There was little traffic and those that passed us were kind - moved far away.  It has been getting moist as we have moved east.  Also, the hills have been flattening out with a lot more trees.  Very scenic.  Here are some views looking ahead.

As we go along, there are often interesting yard signs and mailboxes that we see.  Here are a few.
Some of the signs create significant deep thought.  Here is one of those I found interesting as I am always looking for answers.  It seems they grow them out here.
Next, we see how ranching is changing.  In the old days they used horses and cowboys to herd cattle - not now!  Yahoo!  Here comes the 4-wheeler.
I commented on how much wetter it seems around here, and take a look at how this field is flooding the hay bales.  We were told they had four inches of rain in the last several days!  That is a lot.
Finally, remember that picture of the huge sprayer going down the road next to Paul P.?  We found some resting in a parking lot and indeed, Paul could bike under it!  Maybe he should have tried after all.
Tomorrow we have a looooong day to Enderlin, North Dakota - about 110 miles.  I hope we can make it and that depends on the winds.
